Patient Participation Group
Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a voluntary group of patients, carers, and practice staff who meet at the surgery every 3 months to discuss and improve the services of Grove Road Surgery. PPGs work together to provide feedback, represent patient interests, and influence changes in a way that benefits the entire patient community and the practice. The NHS requires every practice to have a PPG.
Aims of the PPG
The main aims of our Patient Participation Group are to:
- Act as a link between patients and the practice team to ensure patient views are heard and considered.
- Support the practice in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Provide feedback on proposed changes or new services to help shape future developments at the surgery.
- Encourage health education and awareness within the local community.
- Promote a better understanding of the challenges faced by both patients and practice staff.
- Assist in improving communication between the practice and its patients, including through newsletters, surveys, and events.
- Work collaboratively on initiatives that promote wellbeing and self-care among patients.
